I believe that everyone in the entertainment industry especially the music industry knows well that the hottest concept or music genre from 2012 till now is electronic sound and dubstep. Currently, there are so many different music tracks that collaborate with these types of sounds. According to naver.com, dudstep is one of electronic dance music genres that started in South London, England in early 2000 and uses powerful low-frequency bass and drum in slow tempo with 2-step rhythm.
Last week, I tried to buy some string virtual instrument for my current game sound design project. While I was browsing the websites to find right one, I found the easy and simple virtual dubstep instrument called DUBSTEP from 8Dio. So I have researched it and planed to buy one.
Initially, the company, 8Dio, is famous with their virtual classical string instrument such as Adagio Strings and Mandolin. With all classical instruments, 8Dio has recently released their first electronic sound virtual instrument called DUBSTEP. My first impression was that this virtual instrument is extremely easy to use and make awesome sound. I don’t have to manipulate all the EQs, compressors and automations to generate dubstep sound especially bass and wobbling sound. It is already set up for the specific dubstep sound and easy virtual knobs to change their parameters. Also, I can make different sound layers with this instrument and sum them up to create unique sound.
In the company website, they also have easy instruction and introduction videos to give good tips to users and potential customers. In my opinion, 8Dio’s DUBSTEP is a good and easy dubstep and electronic music virtual instrument for those of you who just start to make electronic dance music and have a hard time to figure out the mechanism of dubstep sound.
